Terms of Use
By using sttpn.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Questions? Contact us.
Who we are
Straight To The Point News (“STTPN”, “we”) is run by the founders of Straight To The Point News. These terms are an agreement between you and us about using sttpn.com.
Using the site
STTPN publishes news explanations, publication ratings and related tools for personal, non-commercial reading. No account is needed. Please don't misuse the site: for example, don't try to break into it or its admin area, get around its security or rate limits, overload it with automated traffic, scrape it in a way that disrupts it, or use it to break the law or harass anyone. We may block access from people or systems that do.
Our content
STTPN's stories, explanations, ratings, design and logo belong to STTPN. You're welcome to share links and to quote short passages with credit and a link back. Please don't republish whole stories, our ratings database or our images without permission. For licensing, choose “Business inquiry” on the contact page.
Donations and refunds
STTPN is free to read and sells nothing on sttpn.com. The Donate button takes you to Patreon, which processes any donation or membership under its own terms, including billing, cancellation and refunds; STTPN never sees your payment details. Donations don't buy any special access, influence over coverage or change to a rating. If you have a problem with a donation, contact Patreon first; you can also contact us.
Advertising and sponsorship
STTPN doesn't currently run advertising, sponsored content or affiliate links. If that changes, sponsored material will be clearly labeled and advertisers won't influence what we report, as our Editorial Standards explain.
Publication ratings are opinions
Our Left, Lean Left, Center, Lean Right, Right and Unrated classifications are STTPN's editorial opinions about a publication's overall tendencies, based on the evidence and process described in our Political Rating Methodology. They are not statements of fact about any publication, journalist or article, and they are not a measure of accuracy or quality. Anyone can challenge a rating with evidence.
Accuracy and corrections
We work to be accurate and we correct material errors with a dated note, as described in our Editorial Standards & Corrections. Even so, news changes quickly and mistakes happen. The site is provided for general information and isn't legal, financial, medical or professional advice.
Midterms map and market data
The 2026 midterms map shows prediction-market prices from Kalshi, a third-party exchange. STTPN isn't affiliated with or paid by Kalshi, the prices aren't STTPN's predictions or polls, and nothing on the map is a recommendation to trade or bet. Results shown as “Projected (market)” are not race calls. Market data may be delayed or wrong.
Other websites, names and logos
We link to other publishers and sources so you can compare coverage. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their content. Publication names and logos shown on STTPN belong to their owners and are used only to identify them; showing them doesn't mean those publishers endorse STTPN or that STTPN endorses them.
Copyright and other legal concerns
If you believe something on STTPN infringes your copyright or trademark, or raises another legal concern, choose “Copyright, trademark or legal concern” on the contact page. Tell us what the work or concern is, where it appears on STTPN, how you're connected to it, and what you'd like us to do. We review every notice promptly and remove or correct material when appropriate.
Messages you send us
When you send us a tip, correction, rating challenge or other message, you confirm that it's accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you may share it. We may use it to report, correct or improve our work, but we won't publish your name or contact details without your permission. See the Privacy Policy for how messages are handled and how to ask us to delete them.
Reporting a security problem
If you find a security problem on sttpn.com, please tell us privately by choosing “Report a website problem” on the contact page, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before telling anyone else. Please don't access other people's data, damage the site or disrupt it while looking.
No warranty and limits on liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, STTPN makes no promises that it will always be available, error-free or complete, and isn't liable for any loss that comes from using or relying on it. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add a feature. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply from that date and don't affect anything that happened before it; if you keep using the site afterwards, the new terms apply to you.
